Power to X is a synonym for all technologies with which surplus electricity from renewable energies can be further processed and stored into the energy carriers gas “Power-to-Gas” (PtG), liquid fuels “Power-to-Liquid” (PtL) and into chemical base materials “Power-to-Chemicals” (PtC) in order to replace fossil energy products. The central raw material for all PtX technologies is ultrapure water, from which green hydrogen (H2) is produced using surplus green electricity as the basic material for all other PtX technologies. The purification of the drinking water to ultrapure water for the final PEM electrolysis is carried out in several process stages, adapted to the existing water quality with detailed engineering and the use of combined process technologies:

An elementary feature of our systems is the closed-loop cleaning system for recycling the contaminated process water. The circuit cleaning system is either directly integrated into the feed water treatment system or is added to an existing process water treatment system as a stand-alone unit.
The process water, which is under an operating pressure of up to 50 bar and has a maximum temperature of 65 °C, is economically degassed and desalinated by means of a process suitable for continuous operation. We supply all systems in modular form for individual plant integration in the overall electrolysis concept.

Green Hydrogen Reference Projects
The most important resource for the production of green hydrogen is demineralized ultrapure water. In addition, the process water of the PEM electrolysers must be continuously freed from dissolved ions and particles by means of a circulation cleaning system.
